Before the pandemic, I was not so friendly with social networks, but rather I used them for academic, work, or for the dissemination of activities or news that I was interested in sharing. Today, in a pandemic, due to social isolation, I think I would have gone crazy without social networks, because through them I can communicate with my friends and family who are far away or I cannot see. I also think that they have served a lot to break the computer blockade that exists with the hegemonic press, something that has been more evident since the popular revolt. And without a doubt one of the best things that has increased today with the networks are the self-management works and virtual stores that have been able to grow only thanks to the diffusion. However, I think they have a lot against them too, because as they are formats we are just learning to live with they are misused for a lot of horrible things like sexual harassment, bad porn, pedophilia, among other things. I also find it horrible that these companies steal all our data and generate control mechanisms with it, producing more things to keep us addicted to technological devices. There is still much to discuss and learn from these new forms of communication.
